Mary Lou Westcott, 77, of 113 Lakeside Drive, New Castle, passed away the morning of October 1, 2011 at Jameson Hospital.Born May 7, 1934 in Atlantic City, NJ, she was a daughter of Robert and Pauline Wolfensberger Collins.She married Frank George Westcott on April 21, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1995.She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School in New Jersey. Mary Lou was employed by Westminster College for twenty years, working in the book store as a clerk.She attended King's Chapel United Methodist Church.She loved helping others and volunteering for Meals on Wheels as well as spending time with her family. Among her many interests were gardening and antiques.Survivors include one daughter, Marti L. Westcott of New Castle; two sons, Matthew E. Westcott of New Castle and David C. Westcott of Portland, OR; two sisters, Anne Aydelotte of Whitehouse, TN and Roberta (Fred) Soper of Absecon, NJ; and three grandchildren, Savannah Blazer, Logan Blazer, and Gigi Blazer.In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one sister, Priscilla Dollard.Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. immediately following visitation at the funeral home. The Rev. Nancy Brickner and Pastor Hope Cummins will officiate.Burial will be in King's Chapel Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the City Rescue Mission, 319 S.
