Maxine R. Leaghty, 71, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away the night of April 11, 2018 at her home. Born February 14, 1947 in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of Maxwell and Margaret Nail Waskowski. Maxine worked at several places throughout her life including a nursing home, restaurant and a farm. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and frequenting the Casino. She was of Catholic faith. She is survived by her husband, William H. Leaghty; one daughter, Christine Chise of Youngstown; three sons, James Chise, Robert Chise and David Leaghty all of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren, Kassandra Marshall, Stephen Marshall, Victoria Leaghty, Dominic Mullins, Jimmy Chise, Kayla Chise, Matthew Chise, Mary Kathleen Chise, Robert and Amanda Chise; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Sammy. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, from 11:00-1:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place Wednesday immediately following visitation at 1:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
