Melvina "Winka" Stephenson, 75, of New Castle, passed away the morning of March 10, 2016 at UPMC Farrell Hospital. Born June 26, 1940 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Jacob and Edna Meron Golling. A New Castle High School graduate, Melvina was employed with Circle K convenience store in Arizona, and Taco Bell. She enjoyed word puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Jodi (Kevin) Proctor and Debbie Stephenson of New Castle; one brother, Michael (Charlene) Golling of New Castle; two sisters, Darlene Shepka and Ermenia "Pixie" (Gary) Sizer of New Castle; three grandchildren, Matthew Lambright, Zackary Proctor and Samantha Proctor; two nieces, Danielle Gramsky and Kiley Ottaviani; one great niece, Loren Gramsky; and her former husband, Robert Stephenson She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Robert Stephenson; and one sister, Patricia Newkirk. In keeping with Mrs. Stephenson's request, there will be no calling hours or service. Arrangements are being handled by the R.
