Michael A. Blazzo, 88, of New Castle, PA, passed away the evening of February 15, 2010 in the Avalon Nursing Center.Born in New Castle, on March 13, 1921 he is the son of the late Leonard and Maria Giuseppi Boazzo. He married Betty Main Blazzo on September 25, 1947. She survives in New Castle. He was employed as an industrial painter and a construction laborer. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII. He was a member of Civilian Conservation Corps. Chapter 125 and Clifton Flat Christian Alliance Church on Pennsylvania Ave.In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Linda Blazzo of New Castle, Mary Ann Reamer of New Castle, Angela Hogue of New Castle and Roseanne Jesseman of Indialantic, FL, three sons, Leonard Blazzo, Michael Blazzo, of New Castle, George Blazzo of Ellwood City, and one sister, Rose Dellaverson of Arkansas, five grandchildren, Kimberly, Shawn, Jason, Stevan and Matthew, one great grandchild, Caanan Anthony.He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.A private service was conducted on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle. Pastor Jarod Mills and Rev.
