Michael P. Martin, 53, of 1229 1/2 Overbrook Drive, Kent, OH, passed away the morning of June 30, 2011 in University Hospital Case Medical Center, Cleveland, OH.Born March 19,1958 in New Castle, he was a son of Edgar and Nancy Jones Martin.He was a 1976 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech. Michael was employed with Classic Nissan of Streetsboro, Ohio for seven years, working in sales, parts and customer service.He enjoyed cars, cooking, travel and the beach.Michael is survived by his mother; three brothers, Edward W. Martin of Hillsville, and Kevin L. Martin and Brian K. Martin, both of New Castle; three sisters, Rhonda L. Antonelli and Dawn M. Vaughan of New Castle and Brenda J. Martin of West Pittsburg; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and one great nephew; and two special friends, James C. Shuler and Mark D. Woolslayer of Butler, PA.He was preceded in death by his father.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 6:00 p.m.Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the funeral home.
