Evans, Sr.

Michael "Mickey" Patrick Evans, Sr., age 64, of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 19, 2026, at his residence.
Born Jan. 28, 1962, in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Harvey and Georgeanne (Vitullo) Grimes.
On June 25, 1994, he married his best friend and beloved wife of 32 years, Vicki Foster. Mrs. Evans survives at home.
Mickey was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. For over 25 years, he was the head chef at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center, located in Youngstown, Ohio. Mickey enjoyed life to the fullest and some of his favorite hobbies included cheering on the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also enjoyed scratch off tickets and playing the lottery, watching USC football, crime shows and listening to classic rock music. He was also a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. Above everything else in life, Mickey enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Camillus Church-Holy Spirit Parish.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Michael "Mickey" Patrick Evans, Jr. (Kaitlyn Heeter) of New Castle, PA, Brandon Allen (Kelli) of West Pittsburgh, PA, and Dakota Allen (Jeannette McCreery) both of New Castle, PA; one daughter, Cassie Evans (Shane Biddle) of New Castle, PA; one sister, Cindy Montalvo of Boardman, OH; two grandchildren, Cora and Lincoln, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Rob Evans, Tony Evans, John "Smokey" Vitullo, and two sisters, Laura Evans and Kris Gorosics.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 24th from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A service will follow immediately at 1:30 PM, at the funeral home, with Rev. Matthew Bupp, officiating.
