Michael S. Smith, age 57, of New Castle, PA, passed away the afternoon of Feb. 10, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born Dec. 20, 1966, in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of Roger and Connie (Morris) Smith.

On Dec. 16, 1989, he married his beloved wife of 34 years, Angel Lynne (Pratt) Smith. She survives at home.

Michael was a graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech. He was self-employed and loved competitive shooting, was an avid gun collector, and a member of Gun Owners of America. Michael was of the Christian faith and stood on the promise of Philippians 3:20-21; But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

In addition to his parents and wife, Michael is survived by three sons, Cody (Sarah) Smith of Cortland, OH, Colton Smith of Burghill, OH, and Caleb Smith of Sharpsville, PA; one sister, Cynthia McCoy of Mercer, PA; one brother, Matthew Smith of Ambridge, PA; and two grandchildren, Addison and Wesley.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heaven Smith and a grandson, Bentley Smith.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be at Finley Cemetery.
