Nadine Spears, age 97, formerly of Mt. Jackson, passed away the morning of April 26, 2023, at Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington, PA.

Born March 1, 1926, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Gerald W. and Ruth (Roberts) Kildoo.

She was preceded in death on November 10, 2003, by her husband of 55 years, R. Warren Spears, whom she married on May 31, 1948.

Nadine worked in the Mohawk School library for 2 years and was the Mohawk School wage tax collector for 3 years. Prior, she was employed as a service rep with Bell Telephone.

She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion, Perry Gaston Post #343.

An active 50 plus year member and fourth generation family of Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church, Nadine served on the deacon and elder boards and was a member of the church choir.

She is survived by her daughter, Lana Spears of Mt. Jackson; one son, David (Judi) Spears of Mt. Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Robyn Spears of Brunswick, Ohio; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ed Spears, and one sister, Virginia Smith.

A brief one-hour visitation from 6:00-7:00 p.m. will be held prior to the 7:00 service on Monday, May 1, at Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church, 129 Mt. Air Road, New Castle, PA with Rev. Donald Aull officiating.

Nadine will be laid to rest by her husband in Oak Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 129 Mt. Air Road, New Castle, PA, 16102.
