Nancy L. Martin, 81, of Haven Convalescent Home, formerly of Crawford Avenue, passed away the morning of January 5, 2013 at Jameson Hospital. Born February 10, 1931, in New Castle, she was a daughter of George W. and Rachel H. McCracken Jones. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Edgar Martin. She was a graduate of both New Castle High School, and St. Francis School of Nursing. Nancy retired from Hillview Manor as an RN Supervisor for over twenty five years. She enjoyed most the time she spent with her family. Nancy was a former member of Second Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Rhonda L. and Anthony Antonelli and Dawn A. and Don Vaughan of New Castle, and Brenda J. and Butch Martin of West Pittsburg; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward W. Martin of Hillsville, Kevin L. and Marci Martin and Brian K. Martin all of New Castle; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael P. Martin, and a sister, Patricia Smolnik. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. John Wiseman will officate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
