Nancy Ann Obermeier, age 82, of New Castle, passed away the morning of September 20, 2024, at Avalon Place in New Castle.

Born July 5, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of John M. "Jack" and Bernadine (McCormick) Burke.

She was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband, John F. Obermeier, II.

She was employed most of her life in administration with Highway Equipment Company. She then worked with MHF as a bookkeeper and as a clerk with Rite Aid Pharmacy.

Among her interests, Nancy enjoyed music, especially Christmas music. She also liked working puzzles and frequenting flea markets, but what she loved most was her family, treasuring time with her kids and grandkids. Nancy was of Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include one son, John Obermeier, III of New Castle; one daughter, Sandy (Joe) Logan of New Castle; four grandchildren, Shannon Obermeier of Warren, OH, Katelyn Obermeier of New Castle, Zachary (Jenna) Logan of West Middlesex and Loraine Logan of New Castle; and one great-grandchild, Landyn Knight.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Loraine Obermeier and a cousin, Carol Hrastar and her husband Tim.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, from 10:00-12:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.

A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation Tuesday at 12:00 p.m.
