Nancy Lee Roach, age 85, of New Castle, passed away Sept. 25, 2021, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Born May 29, 1936, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Anna Mae (Waide) Glover. She was married to her beloved husband, Raymond E. Roach who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2011. Nancy earned her bachelor's degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was a teacher and substitute teacher in the Neshannock School District in the 1970's and then went on to work as an office administer at Columbus Services in the 1980's. Nancy treasured the times that she worked in public education but what gave her the most joy, was being a homemaker. Nancy was a member of Sigma, Sigma, Sigma Sorority, the Garden Club, Junior League, several local bridge clubs, as well as St. Camillus Church, in New Castle. She spent many years volunteering at the Jameson Hospital gift shop. Nancy enjoyed arts, crafts, and gardening. She loved to share her art and crafts with her family and friends. Nancy treasured family holidays and traveling with her husband to national parks and various destinations in the US and Europe. She and her husband wintered in Tucson, AZ, where she continued to have a vibrant social life. Above anything else, Nancy enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Raymond P. (Amy) Roach of Midland, MI, and William F. (Brenda) Roach of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Mary (Thomas) Roach-McKinley of New Wilmington, PA, and Michelle L. Pogosaew of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Leo P. (Jeanne) Glover of Santa Ynez, CA; one sister Marilyn G. (Frank) Tenerovich of Clinton, PA; and her grandchildren, Erin Roach, Kevin Roach, Deanna (Ryan) Dillard, Kerri Roach, Cameron McKinley, Colin McKinley, Morrigan McKinley, Sylvia Pogosaew; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Raymond, Nancy is preceded in death by one sister, Marlene Cerina. A memorial service will be held on Sat. Oct. 16th at 11:00 AM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pa. 16105, with Kevin Roach officiating.
