Nathan Stuart Layton, 30, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2011.Nathan was born December 5, 1981 to Jonathan T. Layton and Linda Koch Layton. He was a 2000 graduate of Laurel High School and attended the Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He honorably served his country in the Air Force Reserves from 2002 - 2008 as a Medical Technician and received an honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant. He worked at InfoCision Management Corp. as a communication team leader. He was a former Boy Scout and Cub Scout and enjoyed computers and electronic equipment and also enjoyed playing the drums. He was baptised Lutheran. His tragic passing has deeply saddened his family and many, many friends. He will be deeply missed and treasured in our memories forever.In addition to his parents and step-mother Linda, he is survived by his fiance Nicole L. Gilmore, her son Zachary and their daughter Emily Marie Layton. He is also survived by his sister & brother-in-law, Jessica and Ryan Houtz and niece Kiersten; two step-sisters, Tara Brown and Krista Harriger and their husbands; one step-brother Bryan Marsh and his wife; aunts and uncles, Butch and Deb Koch, Cindy Taylor, Becky and Patrick Goldson, Tina and Richard Braessler, Timothy Layton and Joel Layton; grandmother Marilyn Borden and her husband Donald; and grandfather Wallace Koch and his wife Betty; and also by several cousins. Nathan was blessed to be loved and supported by the entire Gilmore family.Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the R.
