Neal Boyles, 89, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 25, 2019 at UMC Jameson Hospital. Born June 30, 1929 in New Castle, he was the son of Ellis and Mary (Grim) Boyles. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Wilma (McFarland) Boyles, whom he married on March 11, 1949. After serving his country in the U.S. Army in Japan, Neal took employment with Sharon Steel where he worked for 30 years. He then joined his sons at Love Heating and Cooling where he continued to work another 25 years. Among his interests, he enjoyed gardening and camping, but most important to him was time spent with his family. An active member of First Alliance Church, he served as an usher and often did maintenance for the church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Shirley Wimer of New Castle; four sons, Duane (Wanda) Boyles of New Castle, Bill Boyles of Alaska, Terry (Jackie) Boyles of New Castle and Ron Boyles of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Larry (Lorraine) Boyles of New Castle; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene and Bill Boyles. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, from 2:00-5:00pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle and on Monday from 10:00-11:00am at First Alliance Church, 111 Mission Meade Drive, New Castle. A funeral service will take place on Monday at 11:00am at First Alliance Church with the Rev. Philip Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
