Norman L. Caldwell, 85, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 11, 2017.
Born August 30, 1932, in Jackson Center, PA, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Eva Smith Caldwell. He was also the step son to the late Mabel Caldwell.
He is survived at home by his wife, Shirley Park Caldwell. They were married on October 25, 1952.
Mr. Caldwell served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of Caldwell Heating. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church, loved camping but most of all, spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Lori L. Caldwell of New Castle, Vicki Krause of Florida, Felicia Caldwell of New Castle, Linda Stoner of Youngstown Ohio, two sons, Terry L. Caldwell of New Castle and Jeffery M. Caldwell of New Castle, 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in passing by 3 brothers, Robert, Michael, and Ray Caldwell, and 2 infant siblings.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 pm, at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will be held immediately following at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Jim Caldwell will officiate.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
