Norman "JR" Klingensmith, 56 of New Castle, passed away the evening of October 31, 2020 at UPMC Passavant-McCandless. Born October 30, 1964 in New Castle, he was the son of Norman R. Klingensmith Sr. and Doris Jean (Brightshue) Klingensmith. A graduate of New Castle High School, JR was employed at Praxair Inc. as a laser technician from 2001 until his recent retirement in June 2020. Among his interests were dirt track races and wood crafting. He is survived by two daughters, Cierra (Nick) Hanna and Karla (Josh) Jones all of New Castle; one son, Michael Barton of New Castle; his siblings, Melanie Klingensmith and Seth Culley both of New Castle; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas Hanna, Joshua Jones and Julius Jones; and the mother of his children, Denise Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Austin Hanna and baby Jones. In honoring his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. The family will welcome anyone to their home if they would like to stop and share a memory of JR. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
