Norman Wayne Tremmel, 76, of New Castle passed away the morning of May 21, 2020 at his residence.
Born June 6, 1943, in Greenville, he was the son of Ed and Dorothy (McCartney) Tremmel.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cheryl (Hardy) Tremmel, whom he married May 6, 1972.
A graduate of Commodore Perry High School, Norman served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Norman was a truck driver until he gained employment at Mohawk High School as a custodian where he worked for 13 years until his retirement.
Among his interests, he enjoyed woodworking and was a talented artist. An active member of Victory Christian Center, Coitsville Campus, Norman, along with his wife, were official children leaders.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bryan W. Tremmel and Jon W. Tremmel both of New Castle; and two sisters, Naomie Kilburn of Texas and Carol Garrett of Hermitage, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim Tremmel and Lyle Tremmel; one sister, Connie Tremmel; and a brother-in-law, Ron Garrett.
In keeping with Mr. Tremmel's wishes, there will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Ministry of Victory Christian Center, Coitsville Campus, or the American Cancer Society.
