Otto H. Pearsall, 102, of 100 Norman Drive, Cranberry Township, passed away on July 3, 2013 at Sherwood Oaks. Born December 10, 1910, he was a son of Lewis A. and Mary E. Kolb Pearsall. He was preceded in death on July 18, 2004 by his wife, Charlotte Kuerner Pearsall, whom he married on June 24, 1936. He was a graduate of New Castle High School in January, 1929 and Westminster College in 1934. Otto was a master sign painter who got his start in the family sign business, and was later employed for over 30 years with Pennsylvania Power Company as the Director of Displays, retiring in 1975. He was a member of several clubs including the Optimist Club, Neshannock Lions Club and the Pymatuning Yacht Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Lodge of the Craft. Otto was a founding member of the Associated Artists of New Castle and enjoyed ceramics, watercolors, woodworking, and music. He was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry. He presently is a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Otto H. and Brenda Pearsall, Jr. of Monaca, PA and George K. and Carolyn Pearsall of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Lewis A. Pearsall, Jr. of New Castle; four grandchildren, Jared Pearsall, Adam Pearsall, Amy Adkins (Steve), and George Pearsall, Jr. (Jill); and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Brayden Pearsall. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Andrew Jillson. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105.
