P. Leslie Martin, 65, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of February 10, 2011 at Edison Manor.Leslie was born December 1, 1945 in New Castle to Paul W. and Olive Haggerty Martin. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and served with the National Guard during Vietnam. Leslie was married to Diann Bartholemew Martin. He retired in 2005 after 20 plus years as a standards technician for Praxair. He enjoyed being a member of the Rapid Tapid Car Club and also was a member of the Washington Union Alliance Church.Leslie is survived by his wife Diann, a son and daughter in-law, Jon and Joyce Martin of Bessemer; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William A. and Phoebe Martin of Volant and John C. and Shirley Martin of New Wilmington; and one grandchild Brennan Devite.Leslie was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, February, 13, 2011, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. conducted by The Rev. Dr. Richard Noble. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
