Patricia A. Harcar, 81, formerly of Winter Ave., passed away the afternoon of September 30, 2011 at her daughter and son-in-law's home in North Charleston, SC.Patricia was born on March 19, 1930, in Sharon, PA, to the late James P. and Catherine Whalen Tobin. She spent her early years in Sharon attending Sacred Heart School before moving to New Castle where she attended St. Mary's School and New Castle High School. Patricia married Paul M. Harcar on Oct. 28, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Harcar was was employed as a sales clerk with Strouss's department store, the front desk clerk at the New Castle YMCA, at the student union grill at Westminster College and served as a secretary for The IAM Union. She was a member of Prime Timers and the Needle Point Guild. Patricia was an ordained deacon and elder and also taught Sunday School at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church were she was a long time member. Pat devoted most of her life supporting her children's activities, swim team, cheerleading, football, baseball, softball, gymnastics, Girl Scouts, and Rainbow Girls. She was a devoted and loving wife, taking care of her husband, and a greatly loved mother and grandmother who will always live in our hearts.Mrs. Harcar is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Susan Harcar of Potters Twp., Paul and Nenita Harcar of New Castle; two daughters and one son-in-law, Karen and Robert Frank of North Charleston, SC and Amy Fusco of New Wilmington; one brother and three sisters-in-law, William and Sandy Tobin of Sharon, Eugenia Harcar of New Castle, Barbara Buckingham of Florida; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tim Newingham.Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, from 10-11 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
