Patricia I. Tyrrell Patterson Roberts, age 83, of Shenango Township, passed away the morning of August 24, 2016 at Jameson Care Center. Patricia was born December 3, 1932 in New Castle and was a 1951 graduate of New Castle High School. She was employed as a clerk for both Weingartner's and Butz Flowers in New Castle. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church. Patricia was preceded in death on April 23, 1993 by her first husband, Frank Patterson. She subsequently married James Roberts on September 8, 1995 who survives at home. She is also survived by her four children; three daughters, Joyce Patterson Howell of Poland, Ohio, Deborah Roberts of Newport News, Va., and Barbara (Doug) Feil of New Castle; one son, James (Carol) Roberts, Jr. of New Castle; two sisters, Peggy (Pete) Julian and Betty Lou (Bill) Moyer, all of New Castle; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by one infant great grandson. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00-12:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Friday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with the Rev.
