Patricia J. Skorupan, 56, of Transfer, Pa, passed away the morning of March 17, 2012 at her residence.Born May 6, 1955 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Chester and Dorothy McQuiston Edmiston.She is survived by her husband, D. William Skorupan whom she married October 18, 1975.Patricia was a 1973 graduate of New Wilmington Area High School. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Geneva College in 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in English.She was employed as a supervisory revenue officer with the Internal Revenue Service.In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Colton W. and Antje Skorupan of Waco, Tx and Havyn M. and Brooke Skorupan of Dayton, Oh; three brothers, William and John Edmiston of New Wilmington and Robert Edmiston of Volant; five sisters, Jan Womer of Hermitage, Evelyn MacDonald of New Castle, Elizabeth Johnston of Butler, Dale Ann Edmiston of Slippery Rock and Marilyn Fisher of Manassas, Va; and six grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sue Ellen Edmiston; a brother, Richard Edmiston; and a niece, Sandy May Edmiston.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20. 2012, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the R.
