Paul T. Shelhammer, 71, of New Castle went to meet his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2021. Born April 13, 1951, in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of Thomas and Yolonda (Fazzini) Shelhammer. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen (Muto) Shelhammer, whom he married July 8, 1973. Paul tried his hand at many things. He was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, a graduate of ECPI computer school of business and a graduate of Salem University where he received a bachelor's degree in business with a minor in Economics. Paul also was a Pharmacist Tech and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Clarksburg, WV and worked at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Paul also worked at Ingersol Corp. Rand where he assembled heavy drilling equipment and was a Mgr. at RAX restaurant. He then ventured out and became a small business owner of a medical supply business with his two partners, his wife, Kathy, and his brother-in-law Joe Muto. He then turned the medical supply into an accessibility business for the elderly and handicapped. Paul enjoyed Pittsburgh sports teams. He was a connoisseur of foods, enjoyed boxing and watching a good war movie or just sitting with his dogs Susie a Chi-Pin or Rocco the Dalmation. Paul enjoyed traveling with his wife, Kathy, and brother-in-law Joe. Paul attended Christian Assembly in Clarksburg, WV and Pittsburgh, PA. Paul loved a good sermon and the hymns that brought back memories of when he was a young boy. He was always humming a song. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, John Shelhammer of Clarksburg, WV, and Mark (Carol) Shelhammer of Charleston, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Steve Shelhammer, and his loving dogs, Bella, Patch and Sandy. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God, 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle, PA 16105. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
