Paul E. Stroebel, 74, of 1695 Savannah Road, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family, the night of March 21, 2013 at his residence. Born May 28, 1938, in New Castle, he was a son of Paul and Treva Rodgers Stroebel. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Karki Stroebel, whom he married February 16, 1957. He was a graduate of New Castle High School and the owner of Castle Heating and Air Conditioning. He was also formerly employed with Babcock and Wilcox. Paul was a train collector and a car enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and vacationing at the beach. Paul was a devoted husband, father and "pap" and will be truly missed. He was a member of Calvary Independent Church. In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by one daughter, Amy (Jim) Ehko of Prospect; two sons, Paul (Sandra) Stroebel of Charleston, WV and Scott (Belinda) Stroebel of New Castle; a brother, Edward Stroebel of California; two sisters, Mary Senko and Dolores Richard both of New Castle; and nine grandchildren, Chelsea Stroebel, Paul E. Stroebel, Cameron Stroebel, Jacob Stroebel, Isaac Stroebel, Ethan Stroebel, Leah Stroebel, Meghan Ehko and Madelynn Ehko. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Fulena. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Calvary Independent Church, followed by a memorial service at 7:00. The Rev. Chuck Fombelle will officiate.
