The week following her 88th birthday, beloved wife and mother, Pearl V. Stoner, entered eternal peace the evening of June 11, 2016 at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice. Pearl was born June 2, 1928 and was the youngest daughter of the late Harry Edward and Nannie (Dean) Young. Pearl lived most of her entire life on Young Road on land that her ancestors had farmed in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania since the early 1800's. Pearl (nicknamed Piney) was a 1947 graduate of Princeton High School and a lifetime member of the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family and the great outdoors. While she was able, she enjoyed walks with her dog and her children as well as working outside, tending to her manicured lawn and beautiful, well kept flower and vegetable gardens. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth W. Stoner, daughter Nancy (Dennis) McFarland of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, sons Dennis (Lynelle) Stoner of Wantagh, New York, and Thomas (Pamela) Stoner of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, one granddaughter, six grandsons, one great grandson and ten great granddaughters. Also surviving is her sister, Esther Dudley, of Chatfield, Minnesota along with several nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no calling hours. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
