Peggy Lee Campbell, 76, of New Wilmington, passed away the morning of January 15, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 25, 1939 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Henry and Garnet Phillips McClay. Surviving at home is her husband of 57 years, Robert G. "Newt" Campbell, whom she married on February 15, 1958. Peggy attended Phillips School and was a graduate of New Wilmington School. She was employed for 27 years with the former First Western Bank, later Sky Bank and First National Bank. Peggy was an animal lover and enjoyed working the New Wilmington Volunteer Fireman's Auction for over 10 years. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Brady and Cody Campbell. She was a member of Neshannock United Presbyterian Church in New Wilmington. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Debra Campbell of New Wilmington; a brother, Robert L. McClay of Mercer; and her two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Becky Rosengarth of New Wilmington Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department, 140 W.
