Peggy L. Emery, 87, of New Castle, passed away September 1, 2011 at Jameson Hospital.Born July 25, 1924 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Samuel R. and Anna Evans Boughter. She married Walter H. Emery on October 25, 1943. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1999.Peggy was employed as an office administrator with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.She was a member of the Jameson Hospital Guild, Wimodausis and Challenges.She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, where in earlier years, she sang in the choir. She was a former member and Deacon of Second U.P. Church.Peggy was the strength of her family. Her unfaltering faith molded the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her courage in dealing with adversity was an inspiration to many friends and family. Peggy's life here on earth reflected Christ's commission for service to others - a life well lived.She is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law; Jody L. and Howard Galberach of Massillon, OH, Janet L. and Donald Moore of Columbus, OH, and Judith A. and Robert Naugle of New Castle; one son, John N. Emery of Lawrenceville, NJ; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Boughter and James Boughter; and two sisters, Chleo Forsythe and Claudia Boughter.Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Highland Presbyterian Church.A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at the church.
