Peggy Jane McHugh, 89, of New Castle, passed away the morning of September 11, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born April 6, 1931 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Joseph Bryan Zeigler and Anna Martha (Spiers) Zeigler. A 1949 graduate of New Castle High School, Peggy furthered her education at Allegheny School of Nursing, graduating in 1952. Later she would attend Youngstown State University and graduate in 1975. A Registered Nurse at Jameson Hospital for 30 years, she also worked with the Butler Visiting Nurses until her retirement. She was a member of the Jameson Aide Society and First Baptist Church. Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Susan (Robert) Devido and Sally McHugh, all of New Castle and two grandsons, Jordan Devido and Jacob Devido. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Thomas Zeigler and sister-in-law Betty Zeigler. There will be no visitation at this time.
