Phyllis Kathryn Armstrong, age 87, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 4, 2020, at Rhodes Estates, in New Castle. Born July 24, 1932, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola Katherine (Shaffer) Wilson. She married her beloved husband, Keith Armstrong, who preceded her in death. Phyllis was a graduate of Mt. Jackson High School. For many years, she was a cashier at Kroger where she was voted the friendliest clerk, in 1964. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was a judge of elections in Neshannock Township. Phyllis will always be remembered as being a beloved, selfless and generous friend, always putting others before herself. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Phyllis is survived by one brother, Kenneth (Marcy) Wilson of New Castle; a sister-in-law, Joann Calvin and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by two brothers, William J. Wilson and Charles E. Wilson. There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
