Phyllis J. (Cosgrove) Cassidy, 83, of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 14, 2014 at Golden Hill Nursing Home.Born June 14, 1931 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was a daughter of William and Lucille Pierce Cosgrove.She was preceded in death on January 26, 2005 by her husband, Walter E. Cassidy.Phyllis was employed over 50 years with Jameson Hospital in the central supply unit. She was always diligent and hardworking.Phyllis had a special love for her cats.She is survived by a sister-in-law, Becky Cosgrove; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald K. Cosgrove and W. Bruce Cosgrove; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Cosgrove.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society, P.O.
