Phyllis T. Fisher, 87, formerly of Neshannock Township, passed away the night of April 22, 2018 at Jameson Care Center.
Born September 26, 1930 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Spurgeon and Eleanor McGinnis Turner.
She was preceded in death on July 10, 2006 by her husband of 52 years, John W. Jack Fisher, whom she married on August 8, 1953.
Phyllis was a 1948 graduate of New Castle High School and was a homemaker, taking care of her three children.
She was a member of the Walmo Lady Lions Club, former secretary for the Neshannock Pool in Pearson Park, and former member of Croton United Methodist Church. In her spare time, Phyllis enjoyed needlepoint and baking.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori (Frank) Baker and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Bush of New Castle; one son, Kirk D. (Marcia) Fisher of Macomb, MI; two brothers, Glenn (Thelma) Turner of New Wilmington and Gary (Susan) Turner of New Castle; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelly Baker Piatek.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private family service held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Marsha Parrish officiating.
Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
