R. Marie Fornataro, 72, of New Castle, died peacefully in her home on April 1, 2010. Born October 1, 1937, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Ruth Zolinger McDonald. She was married to David E. Herr and later married Angelo L. Fornataro. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1999. She was a loving wife and devoted mother of six. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and baking. She was also a huge Steelers fan and loved football. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jolynda Herr, Fred and Beth Herr and Dan and Toni Herr; three daughters and one son-in-law, Terry and Joseph Boyd, Denise Palazzolo and Cathy Bauder; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She is also survived by three step-sons and step daughters-in-law; Jeffrey and Mary Fornataro, Steve and Jodi Fornataro and Greg and Denise Fornataro; three siters, Dixie Fornataro, Mary Lou Goebel and Helen Gierlach; one brother, Charles McDonald; several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Quentin and Leo McDonald.Visitation will be held Monday, April 5, 2010, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 6, 2010, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA.A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Cheryl Waguespack will officiate. Burial will be in King's Chapel Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albert P.
