Ralph R.N. Earl, 62, of 819 Lakeview Avenue, passed away the night of March 31, 2011 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.Born March 21, 1949 in New Castle, he was a son of John and Dorothy Earl. He married Marcia Jane Kelly on July 26, 1975. She survives.He was a graduate of Shenango High School and then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1968-1971.Ralph was employed for 28 years with the Butler County Association for Retarded Citizens as a direct care worker. He also worked for Rockwell International in the spring division.Among his many interests were collecting records and researching music history. He was self taught and very knowledgeable in the field of computers.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian James and Heidi Earl of Butler, PA, and Shaun Patrick Earl of New Castle; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Sandra Earl of New Castle; and one grandson, Riley Colton Earl.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Samuel Earl; and one sister, Karen Earl.Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2011, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Douglas Hughes will officiate.
