Randall J. Moss, age 57, of N. Cascade Street, passed away the afternoon of June 9, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born December 31, 1958 in New Castle, he was the son of James W. and Anna Rose Armino Moss. After his graduation from New Castle High School in 1977, he became a certified gunsmith. He received a degree in fiber optics and computer technology at Beaver County Community College. Prior to his brief employment in the claims department of Liberty Mutual Insurance, he was a delivery man for Hovis Auto and Truck Supply. Because of Randy's love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, he was a 38 year member of the Castlewood Rod & Gun Club. He also was a competition staff shooter (archery) for the Outdoor Sportsman in Sharon, PA. Randy is survived by one brother, John (Connie) Moss of New Castle; three sisters, Linda (Russell) Leichtenberger of Melbourne, FL, Colleen (Jim) Simmons and Cheryl (Keith) Carle all of New Castle; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, his dog Camo "Buddy". He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal and paternal grandparents. In keeping with Randy's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
