Raymond G. Crum, Jr., 84, of New Castle, passed away the morning of September 6, 2013 in Allegheny General Hospital. Raymond was born on October 28, 1928, in New Castle, to the late Raymond G. Crum Sr. and Minnie Shanker Crum O'Neil. He married the former Geraldine Ritchie on June 21, 1952. Mr. Crum was a member of the Bricklayer and Allied Craft Workers Union Local 9 and was employed as a bricklayer with numerous New Castle companies. Raymond loved sports, bowling, and hunting. His greatest joy was watching his grandsons compete in their chosen athletics and spending time with his great grandchildren. Mr. Crum was a member of Wayside Emmanuel Church. Raymond is survived by his son, Randy and daughter-in-law, Janet L. Manifrang Crum of New Castle; two grandchildren, Justin, and wife Ashley, Crum, Joshua D. Crum; and three great grandchildren, Macey, Brady, and newest addition, Alleia Crum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Geraldine and his step father, Ed O'Neil. The family will accept visitors on Wednesday evening, September 11, 2013, from 5-6 pm at Wayside Emmanuel Church, 4437 Mitchell Road, New Castle, with a memorial service following at 6:00 pm.
