Raymond E. Roach, 81, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of Oct. 15, 2011.Born June 16, 1930 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Murphy Roach. He married Nancy Glover Roach on Aug. 10, 1957. Raymond attended North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh and attended Duquesne University. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Marine Corps in 1954. Raymond was a sales manager at Packaging Corp. of America and the co-founder and vice president of Valley Containers, Inc. in Mineral Ridge, OH prior to his retirement in 1997.He was an extraodinary senior league softball player for Baierl Chevrolet in Pittsburgh and Oro Valley in Tucson, AZ. An avid golfer, he had 3 holes in one. He also coached youth baseball in Neshannock Township. Raymond was a member of the New Castle Country Club and many bridge clubs. He was a member of St. Camillus Church where he taught CCD.In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and Tom McKinley of New Wilmington and Michelle Roach of Cranberry Township, PA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Raymond P. Roach of Midland, MI and William F. and Brenda Roach of Tucson, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Marion Roach of Cranberry Township and Dorothy Roach of Pittsburgh, eight grandchildren, Erin Roach, Kevin Roach, Deanna Roach, Kerri Roach, Cameron McKinley, Colin McKinley, Morrigan McKinley and Sylvia Roach; and many loving nieces; nephews; and great nieces; and great nephews. Raymond shared a special bond with his brother-in-law, Leo P. Glover of Santa Ynez, CA.He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, William F., Robert and John Roach; and one daughter-in-law, Regina Beerman Roach.Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at the funeral home. The Rev. Father Thomas J.
