Regina M. Bianchi, age 96, of New Castle, passed away the night of October 25, 2024, at the Haven Convalescent Home.

Born April 15, 1928, in Stone Staffordshire, United Kingdom, she was the daughter of Robert and Regina (Healey) Selwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bianchi, whom she married April 15, 1947.

In addition to being a member of the Group of Overseas Wives of Veterans, Bessemer Garden Club and First Assembly of God church, Regina enjoyed being a seamstress, including knitting, crocheting and crafting. Amond her varied interests, she spent time floral arranging and cooking, including baking cookies for special events. She also loved reading, piano playing and educating herself with geography and history.

She is survived by one daughter, Carole J. Benigas of New Castle; one son, Robert (Karen) Bianchi of New Castle; one brother, Alan (Patricia) Selwood of England; two grandchildren, Nicholas Bianchi and Patrick (Lisa) Benigas; and one great-grandchild, Antonio Benigas.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Herbert Selwood and a son-in-law, Joseph Benigas.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held for the family with the Rev. Matthew Bupp officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
