Rev. John Wiseman, 95, passed away March 7, 2021 at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh.
Born May 29, 1925 in New York City, he was the son of Demetri Nichola and Katerina (Wiseman) Nichola.
He was a Navy veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. After his time in the service, he became a pastor for a number of years for United Brethren Church. John was also self-employed for 27 years with Dick and John's Auto Seat Covers in Ellwood City.
Bowling and shooting pool were some of his varied interests.
He is survived by two sons, John L. (Leanne) Wiseman of West Pittsburg and Steve (Janet) Wiseman of Kittanning; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Mary Ann McConahy of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mamie (DuBrock) Wiseman; a daughter, Linda Wirl; and two sisters, Helen Clark and Mary Ritrosky.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Marc Stephenson officiating. Military honors will be performed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
Rev. Wiseman will be laid to rest beside his wife at Graceland Cemetery.
