Richard C. Chamberlain, 89, of New Castle, passed away the night of December 15, 2018 at his residence. Born July 6, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Clarence and Mildred (Howlet) Chamberlain. He was preceded in death earlier this year on November 26, 2018 by his wife of 68 years, Boneita Bonnie (Hough) Chamberlain, whom he married January 28, 1950. Richard served his country from 1947-1948 and 1950-1951 as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He was a sales supervisor for 36 years with Dean Foods until his retirement in 1997. He held memberships in the Elks Club, the Travelers Protection Association, and was a life member of the Grippers Club. Richard enjoyed making home repairs and being a backyard mechanic. He was a member of Shenango Presbyterian Church. Mr. Chamberlain is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Richard) McCracken of Vernon, Conn; one son, Randy (Kim) Chamberlain of Sharpsville, PA; one sister, Shirley Furman of Jefferson, Ohio; six grandchildren, Ian (Sarah) McCracken, Eric McCracken, Joshua Chamberlain, Natasha Chamberlain, Amanda (Billy) Marstellar and Leah Chamberlain; and three great-granddaughters, Anne and Clara McCracken and Adalynn Marstellar. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Chamberlain, II and one sister, Vivian Chamberlain.
