Richard M. Moyer, 81 of New Castle passed away on December 24, 2018 at his residence. Born on September 6, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio he was the son of Herman and Margaret (Boles) Moyer. He married Virginia C.A. Moyer on January 28, 1955. She has preceded him in death in 2013. He worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and GM Packard Electric as a welder and pipe fitter. He enjoyed working, cars, and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by one daughter; Katherine (Kevin) Strickler of New Castle, four sons Richard F. (Dori) Moyer, James W. (Liz) Moyer, David A.(Shelley) Moyer, Joseph R. (Staicy) Fusco, Esther Moyer, all of New Castle; two brothers; William Moyer of New Castle, Robert Moyer of Sacramento CA, one sister; Jean Rollins of New Castle; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother Jack Maley, one sister, Donna Kirby and his best friend, his dog; "Foster". Visitation will be held on Friday 4-8 PM at R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., New Castle, PA. A service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. John Wiseman officiating. Burial will be at Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
