Richard Dale Simmons, age 55, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of June 23, 2023, at his residence.

Born July 31, 1967, in Detroit MI., he was the son of the late Jack Simmons.

On Oct. 3, 1992, he married his wife of 30 years, Nancy (Wallace) Simmons. She survives at home.

For 20 years, Richard worked as an installer, employed by Comcast. He enjoyed movies, fishing, flea markets, and yard sales. Richard had a knack for crafting and building things. He was a member of Riverview Presbyterian Church, in Pittsburgh, PA.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son, Zach (Rose) Simmons of Harmony, PA.

Visitation will be held on Tues. June 27th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation, at the funeral home, at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Matthew Bupp, officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
