Robert "Bob" Armstrong, 75, of New Castle passed away on July 3, 2020, at the Haven Convalescent Home.
Bob was born on June 15, 1945, in New Castle to the late Arthur E. and Esther Giles Armstrong.
He married the former Linda Reynolds on Aug. 12, 1966. She survives.
Mr. Armstrong was the produce manager at Ralph's Super Market until his retirement.
He selflessly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserves during the Vietnam War.
Bob's passions included his loving wife and family, cleaning cars, camping and watching NASCAR racing.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by a daughter, Janice (Jeff) Hilyard of New Castle; a son, Jeff (Amy) Armstrong, of Industry; a brother, David (Katherine) Armstrong of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Ann (Chuck) Shira of Enon Valley and Marilyn Campbell of Sterling, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Victoria Armstrong and Evan Hilyard.
Mr. Armstrong was preceded in passing by his parents and a sister, Burdell Viglione.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1 p.m.
Burial will take place in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
