Robert G. Boughter, 65, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of October 13, 2016 at UPMC Jameson. Born September 27, 1951 in New Castle, he was a son of Charles and Delores Doutt Boughter. Surviving at home is his wife of 42 years, Karen Falatko Boughter, whom he married January 5, 1974. Robert was employed with CSX Railroad as a signal engineer. Among his many interests, Bob enjoyed golfing, hunting, and horse races in addition to playing cards, dominos and chess. He loved the time spent with his family, especially family vacations together. He attended Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Michelle Fabich of New Castle; one son, Robert J. Boughter of Ft. Wayne, IN; three brothers, Howard Boughter of Zelienople and Merrill and Brian Boughter both of New Castle; one sister, Judy Hare of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Christin Boughter and Asher Fabich. He was preceded in death by his father. A brief one hour visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A Memorial Service will take place immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Steve Plyer officiating.
