Robert F. Cochran, 92, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of February 9, 2015, at Jameson Hospital, New Castle.
Born December 15, 1922, in Carthage, Maine, he was a son of Hazen and Tina McLain Cochran.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice J. Cochran on April 24, 2003.
He is survived by his second wife, Marsha Nygard Boyle Cochran, whom he married July 10, 2004.
He was a graduate of Dicksfield Maine High School, and the University of Maine-Orono.
A veteran of WWII, he served in the Army with the rank of T-5.
Robert was a self employed electrician.
He was a member of the Masons, Lodge of the Craft #433, New Castle Consistory, and the Legion of Honor.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Marsha, he is survived by two daughters, Gail Clark of Columbus, Ohio and Linda Reichl of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one step-daughter, June Tuliszewsky of Tampa, FL; one son, Wayne Cochran of Layfayette, IN; one sister, Celia Archibald of Dixmont, Maine.; 3 grandchildren, Kevin Clark, Erin Clark, and Robert Cochran; 1 great-grandson, Will Cochran; 3 step-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife Alice, he was preceded in death by one brother, Chester Cochran; and a step-daughter, Wanda Romonsky.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6:00-9:00 p.m at which time a Masonic Service will also take place, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
Visitation will also be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Sunday followed by a funeral service at 1:00 at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Matthew Bupp, Celtic Hospice Chaplin. A military service will be performed at that time by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
