Robert W. Hoyland, 82, of 413 Hillcrest Avenue, New Castle, passed away the morning of July 12, 2010 at the Greer House.Born on June 6, 1928, New Castle, he was the son of the late Albert E. and Anna Rita Marrie Hoyland. Robert married the former Alma M. Reid on October 9, 1950. Robert was a New Castle High School and Youngstown State University graduate.He was a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy.Robert retired from Citizens National Bank as vice president after 38 years. He went on to work for Raymond James Financial in Florida for seven years.Robert was a volunteer driver for Meals-on-Wheels and greatly enjoyed the Eat & Park coffee group.He was an avid Steeler fan and loved New Castle Hurricane basketball and football.A member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, he served as long time treasurer.In addition to his wife, survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Lee Reichbaum of Pittsburgh, Pa, Brenda Vater of Pittsburgh, PA, Marrianne and John Knorr of New Castle, and Beth Ann Hoyland of Pittsburgh, PA; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Carol Hoyland of Tampa, FL and Richard R. and Melinda Hoyland of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Frederick Charles Hoyland of FL, and Michael Albert Hoyland of FL. Pop Pop Bob is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Hoyland.Honoring the family's request there will be no visitation or service.Memorial contributions may be made to Meals-on-Wheels, P.O.
