Robert C. Lupo, 74, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord the evening of November 28, 2014. He was born on October 5, 1940, in Hillsville, to the late Michael and Clara Annichinni Lupo. He married, the former, Marlene Ragnelli on August 26, 1961. She survives. Bob spent the majority of his working career at Carbon Limestone and Universal Rundle, spending 20+ years at each company. Mr. Lupo had many interests. They included camping, playing cards, coaching baseball and softball, landscaping and working in his yard. His passion and love for Notre Dame football, which was ingrained in him from childhood, was only rivaled by his devotion to his family. He was inseparable from his wife Marlene. His daughters were his greatest accomplishment. The apples of his eyes, however, were his grandson, J.R. and his granddaughter, Gia and loved watching J.R. play sports and Gia dance. Mr. Lupo was a member of St. Camillus Parish. In addition to his beloved wife, Bob is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Marlana Lupo and Robin and Brian Prossen, all of New Castle; three sisters, Marie Ann (Lupo) Veltre of New Castle, Jeanne (Lupo) Frasso of Edinburg, Emily (Lupo) Peters of Poland, OH; 3 sister-in-laws, Carole Lupo, Shirley Jean Ragnelli and Patricia Mae Mangino, all of New Castle and his grandson, J.R. Prossen and granddaughter, Gia Prossen. He was preceded in passing by his parents and one brother, Norman "Sonny" Lupo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., New Castle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Camillus Church. A procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.
