Robert J. "Bobby" Marketich, 46, of Akron, Ohio, passed away August 23, 2015 at his residence. Born March 25, 1969 in New Castle, he was the son of Eugene P. Marketich Sr. and Joyce Platt Tomer. Robert was a graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech and a veteran of the Marine Corps. Robert had many interests, but he enjoyed fishing the most. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-mother, Judy Lockhart Marketich of New Castle; his step-father, Bill Tomer of Akron, OH; 2 brothers, Eugene P. Marketich Jr. and Douglas J. Marketich, both of Akron, OH; 2 step-brothers, Charlie Tomer of Akron, OH, and Bruce Edgington of Lebanon, PA; 1 step-sister, Kathy Rutter of Uniontown, Ohio;1 nephew, Quinn Marketich of Akron, OH; and 2 nieces, Audrey and Kendal Rutter of Uniontown, OH; Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
