Robert Howard Maxwell, 83, of Tamarac Drive, passed away the afternoon of June 24, 2014 at his residence.Born August 30, 1930 in Sharon, PA., he was a son of Clyde H. and Rachel A. Hull Maxwell.He was preceded in death on August 8, 2000 by his wife of 35 years, Ina C. Wilson Maxwell, whom he married August 2, 1965.Bob graduated from Sharon High School. He retired in 1995 from Sawhill Tubular in Sharon, PA after 30 years as a welder-fitter.He was a lover of horses, and enjoyed training them. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, and playing the guitar.He was a former member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church.Surviving are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle A. and Rodney D. Cobb of Transfer, and Robin R. and Robert Nance of Fresno, Calif; two step-daughters and son-in-law, Joanna Nicholson of New Castle, and Karen and Robert Boughter of New Castle; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one grandson, Christopher Nicholson.Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take place Saturday, June 28, 2014, immediately following visitation at 4:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Rev.
