Robert E. Bob McAnallen, 81, of New Castle passed away the morning of October 26, 2017 at his residence. Born August 14, 1936 in New Castle, he was the son of Cecil and Margaret Geirlach McAnallen. Surviving at home is his wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann Gobetz McAnallen, whom he married on September 27, 1963. Bob was the owner and truck driver of McAnallen Trucking. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kiley (John) Fair of New Castle; two sons, Dr. T.J. (Jacquelyn) McAnallen and Christian (Uyen) McAnallen both of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Nancy Hoover and Sally Birchfield; and eight grandchildren, Emma, Abigail, Jack, Sophie, and Jakob Fair, Sarah, Noah, and Erin McAnallen. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harvey, Jim, and Clair McAnallen. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
