Robert J. Schleich, 52, of Virgil, Ontario, passed away, peacefully, the evening of September 12, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bob was born in Windsor, Canada on November 9, 1962 to Werner "Vern" Schleich and the late Hilde Dickman Schleich. He was, most recently, a driver with the Andy Stieva Trucking Company but, spent many years working in New Castle at 84 Lumber and Rockwell. Mr. Schleich was a graduate of Neshannock High School and the New Castle School of Trades. Bob loved golfing, playing softball, camping, skiing, watching sports with his son and spending time with both of his children. In addition to his father and step mother, Maureen, he is survived by his daughter Sarah Schleich; son Robert C. Schleich; step daughter, Julie Cunningham, all of New Castle; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Courtney Schleich of New Wilmington; and previous spouse, Cassie Powell of New Castle. In addition to his mother, Mr. Schleich was preceded in passing by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Valentine and Anna Dickman and George and Anna Schleich In observance of Bob's wishes, all services will be held privately.
