Robert William Wilson, 79, of New Castle, went home to be with Jesus on Feb. 15, 2010.Born July 29, 1930, in Aliquippa, he was the son of Walter and Lucille Henderson Wilson.He married the former Agnes Marshall on April 21, 1951. Agnes went home to Jesus on Oct. 3, 2001.Robert was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, Robert Morris University and Geneva College.He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Greenland.Robert retired in 1991 as president of Dollar Savings Association after 35 years of service.He was a member of Lodge of the Craft Westminster #433, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and a Shriner. He was a past officer of the New Castle Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Lawrence County Economic Development, the New Castle Country Club and the New Castle Paws and Taws. He enjoyed bowling, golf and square dancing, camping and travel.Robert was a 50 year member of Highland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and deacon and was a member of the Friendship Class.He embraced life with the love of his family. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Ann and her husband, Bill Stroia; a son, Robert Wilson and his wife, Melinda; two brothers, Arthur Wilson and his wife Jeannie, Earl Wilson and his wife, Beverly; seven grandchildren, Adam Stroia, Danielle and Jason Pacchioni, James Wilson, Matthew Lovewell, Robyn (Wilson) Bell and Steven Wilson; and two great grandchildren, Andrea Bell and Callen Pacchioni.Robert was preceded in death by his parents and wife.Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at Highland Presbyterian Church. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at the church. The Rev.
